El Día de los Muertos is a fascinating celebration of loved ones who have passed away. It is celebrated primarily in Mexico and in some Latin American Countries. We are learning about its origins and history, rooted in Aztec beliefs and the Roman Catholicism of the Spanish Conquerors of Mexico. And we’re doing this all in Spanish!

Mexican Murals & Halloween Mural Project
Mexico has a strong tradition and presence of murals. You will read a simple selection on Mexican murals and you will do a group project: A Halloween Mural or Un Mural Sobre El Día de las Brujas. This will give you the chance to use subjects, adjectives, and verbs in sentences and for you to showcase your creativity.

Telling Time in Spanish-La Hora
You need to know how to tell time in Spanish! Make sure you know your Spanish Numbers 0-12 at least. They do use military time, or the 24 hour clock, in Spanish speaking countries so you should know numbers 13-24 too.
